I have been fascinated with the unique landscape of the Nantlle Valley for many years having walked extensively in the area. On hearing of Wales Slate’s intentions to apply for World Heritage Status I took the opportunity to secure funding to create a body of work in reaction to the site. This has culminated in the performance of several soundwalks with Tim Shaw as well as the creation of the film Adlais. The soundwalks and film explore the ambient, hidden and contemporary sounds of the Slate Industry, as well as, the sonic potential of this special landscape. The Adlais film will be published soon and I am looking forward for it to be shown locally, I am also hoping to organise more soundwalks in the New Year
